Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional safari
guide for a briefing about your upcoming adventure. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a
short Kigali city tour, including visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local craft markets, or
vibrant cultural centers.
After lunch, depart for Volcanoes National Park, a scenic drive of approximately 2.5 hours
through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside, characterized by lush green hills, terraced farms, and
picturesque villages. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and spend the evening relaxing while
enjoying spectacular views of the Virunga Mountains.

After an early breakfast, head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing by park
rangers before beginning your once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure.
Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, hike through the bamboo forests and volcanic
slopes in search of one of the park’s habituated mountain gorilla families. The trek may last
between two and six hours depending on the gorillas’ location.
Once the gorillas are found, spend one unforgettable hour observing their fascinating behaviors,
playful interactions, and gentle nature while capturing incredible photographs.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure. Optional activities
include visiting the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village or relaxing with a spa treatment.

Following breakfast, return to Volcanoes National Park for an exciting golden monkey trekking
experience. These rare and endangered primates are famous for their striking golden-orange fur,
playful personalities, and energetic movements through the bamboo forest.
After lunch, visit the scenic Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, nestled at the foothills of the
Virunga Volcanoes. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views, optional canoe rides, birdwatching,
and opportunities to interact with local communities living along the lakeshores.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
